You are playing
tennis with your brand new shiny red Wilson racquet on a sunny spring afternoon
with your grandfather. You breathe in the soft breeze of wind and slowly let it
out. You practice your forehand and backhand strokes, and suddenly realize your
old high school friend is playing tennis two courts down from you. You smile
and wave and say, “hello!” You toss the ball in the air and attempt an overhand
serve for your grandfather to receive, but WHOOSH the ball goes over the fence.
“Oh no!” You exclaim. You jog across the court, open the fence gate, and run
across the freshly mowed grass to fetch the ball. You look for the ball, and
when you find it under a tree, you pick it up, realizing that you should
probably practice some more serves before starting the match!
